Remove Cuba from the State Sponsors of Terrorism List

advocacy

Welcome to the ACERE Advocacy Toolkit section. Our goal is to raise awareness about the unjust and harmful effects of the U.S. State Sponsors of Terrorism designation on the Cuban people and our relationship with their country.

As part of our efforts, we are launching a digital advocacy campaign to remove Cuba from the State Sponsors of Terrorism list. This designation has been in place for too long and has had a cruel and harmful impact on the Cuban people.

Through this platform, you can take action by sending messages to President Biden and members of Congress. Your voice can make a difference in ending this harmful designation and moving towards a more positive and productive relationship with Cuba.

We believe in the power of collective action and by speaking out, you can help change decades of harmful U.S. policy towards Cuba. Join us in our efforts to remove Cuba from the SSOT list by taking action today!

The Alliance For Cuba Engagement And Respect

The people of Cuba have long been suffering under an economic, commercial and financial embargo by the United States that places restrictions on food, medicine, and economic support from relatives. President Trump not only reversed President Obama’s move to strengthen relations but further tightened sanctions against Cuba. Despite high hopes, President Biden has so far failed to bring about a substantive improvement in relations. After six decades of failed policy, it is time to demand a different path forward.
