communications

Welcome to the ACERE Communications Toolkit section. As part of our ongoing efforts to remove Cuba from the U.S. State Sponsors of Terrorism list, it is imperative that we educate and inform the public about the reality of Cuba, its contributions to the global community, and the injustices of its current designation on the terrorism list.

To help achieve this goal, we have created a dynamic and constantly-updated toolkit that provides all the necessary resources and tools you need to effectively communicate and engage with others about this important issue. From social media posts to email templates, and everything in between, our goal is to make it easy for you to get involved and make your voice heard.

We are committed to providing the most accurate and up-to-date information and resources to help you spread the word and advocate for change. So, be sure to check back frequently for new additions and updates, and feel free to reach out to us with any questions or suggestions. Thank you for your support in this important cause!

FIRME AQUÍ Estimado presidente Biden: Le escribimos como cubanoamericanos y ciudadanos estadounidenses preocupados,

Statement from the Alliance for Cuba Engagement and Respect (ACERE) on the State Department’s Country Reports on Terrorism 2022
The Alliance for Cuba Engagement and Respect (ACERE) draws attention to the fact that the U.S. Department of State, in its Country Reports on Terrorism 2022, implicitly acknowledges there is no justification for Cuba to be designated a State Sponsor of Terror (SSOT). This report, published on November 30, 2023, reiterates the absurd claim that Cuba “repeatedly provided support for acts of international terrorism” because it “refused Colombia’s request to…
Statement from the Alliance for Cuba Engagement and Respect (ACERE) Condemning the Acts of Terrorism against the Cuban Embassy in Washington, D.C.
The Alliance for Cuba Engagement and Respect (ACERE) vehemently condemns the recent act of terrorism against the Cuban Embassy in Washington, D.C., where two Molotov cocktails were thrown at the building. Such heinous actions threaten diplomatic personnel's safety and security and damage the fragile diplomatic ties between Cuba and the United States. We express our relief that the embassy staff remained unharmed in this incident. Still, it is critical to…

Washington, DC – Nearly 9,000 Cuban and U.S. private business owners or representatives of around 270 business organizations representing thousands of businesses sent a letter to President Biden this morning. Among a list of seven concrete policy and normative changes, their main demand is to take Cuba off the U.S. State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT) list. Cuba’s designation on the SSOT list was unequivocally rejected as unmerited by the Obama…
Cuba and U.S. Business Sectors Letter to President Biden about Support to Cuban Private Sector
Mr. President Biden, Almost a year and half has passed since many of us sent you a letter with a similar request in November 2021. Soon, a year would have passed from the time when you announced measures to support the Cuban private sector in May 2022. We write once more, as Cuban entrepreneurs, self-employees, business owners and cooperative members, part of the rapidly growing Cuban private sector. We are…

The Alliance For Cuba Engagement And Respect

The people of Cuba have long been suffering under an economic blockade by the United States that places restrictions on food, medicine, and even economic support from relatives. President Trump not only reversed President Obama’s move to strengthen relations but further tightened the blockade. Despite high hopes, President Biden has so far failed to bring about improved relations. After 60 years of failed policy, it is time to demand a different path forward.
